Cleveland Browns players hosted the inaugural "Cleveland for Christ" event, organized by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and led by team chaplain Nobles Darby. Linebacker Carson Schwesinger, fresh off winning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, and running back Raheim Sanders both stepped into the water and were baptized in front of teammates and the local community. They weren't alone. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders, rookie QB Taylen Green, cornerback Tyson Campbell, safety Daniel Thomas, and several other Browns players showed up in matching "Cleveland for Christ" shirts to worship, pray, and support their teammates' public declaration of faith. Schwesinger put it simply afterward: God doesn't care how good he is at football, He cares about the man Schwesinger is when the cameras stop rolling.
